PHANTOM-COLORED COCKAPOOS
Well, this type of Cockapoo color is also loved and preferred by many because of it being a slight mixing of colors. Some people normally mistake pups from this litter with parti or multi-colored Cockapoo puppies. But in a sense, they are quite different from each other. Unlike the multi-colored Cockapoo which has more Clare distinct color markings, the phantom mixing is what you would call discrete.
This means basically that you get a lighter blend of colors. For example, you can have two colors which for different parts of the Cockapoos body, while phantom color or colors splash lightly all over the body. This gives the dog a light blend of colors, almost like a German Shepherd sable puppy. Color variations for puppies from this litter included black Cockapoo, chocolate, or brown Cockapoo puppy. Or even red, with a phantom mixing of either white, cream tan, or apricot.
PARTI / MULTICOLORED COCKAPOOS
As the name suggests, it’s a Cockapoo with more than one color mixing also known as bi or tri-colored Cockapoo. This particular color mixing has sharper unblended color mixing giving the puppy distinct color markings, unlike the phantom mixing which it is often confused with.
So puppies from this litter will have more dominant colors that help form patterns that separate each color neatly. In mixing you can have more than the two-color combination that forms the mixing. For example, you could have a Cockapoo puppy with a red upper body, demarcated with a white, cream, or tan underbody, and then some Clare touches of white or any other of color on the tales and paws of the dog.
This color combination is very attractive and is also a preferred breading choice for breeders looking for color variations.
MERLE-COLORED COCKAPOOS
Unlike other Cockapoo color combinations that are common and are bred most of the time out of mistake for the breeder never really plans to make one. This is because you can’t do planned breeding of this color. After all, trying to breed Cockapoos with a merle color could lead to either permanent deafness or blindness for litters of that set. This condition is known as double merle and can cause even more detrimental health complications for pups.
As a result of this, the merle color has become rare and only happens as a product of chance for breeders to avoid purposely breeding it. This particular color can be produced from any random Cockapoo breeding without either of the parents necessarily needing to have a merle color. It is estimated that in every liter which produces a merle-colored pup, well the population of puppies with such color will never be more than 25 percent.
This Color is a combination of swirl patterns that help generate a slight but beautiful marble effect. Puppies from this litter in blue merle or red merle. Note that the swirling form of this dog is quite different from other breeds and has a unique touch to it which makes it different from other dogs. The patterns are quite random.
SPECIAL COCKAPOO COLORS
Well, there is a special Cockapoo color combination known as the tuxedo color. Well, that is just the term used to describe the mixing. It is used when a Cockapoo takes a solid color either black, red, or gold, and then has a white pattern on the chest almost like the inner shirt of a tuxedo.
